Portuguese Cork Association (APCOR) exists to represent and promote the Portuguese cork industry and its products. Established in 1956, APCOR opens its membership to all companies operating in the fields of production, marketing or export of cork products. The organization advocates on behalf of the Portuguese cork industry worldwide and is the driving force of an industry based on tradition, innovation and sustainability.
Since 2010, APCOR has embarked on an international marketing program dubbed InterCork. InterCork is an ambitious B2B and B2C program (wine importers, distributors, educators, influencers and consumers) aiming at promoting the three value propositions of Portuguese cork, namely, Culture, Nature and Future to its key international markets including China. Paradigm has been in charge of InterCork in China since 2010. A fully array of educational and brand awareness activities have being arranged, in which one of the most significant initiatives is the “Cork Ambassador Program” – A “train the trainer” program that aims at equipping leading wine educators in China with cork knowledge so that they can pass it on to their students.
